The Holdrege Sun Theater is the perfect place to host your next on-screen experience, from private watch parties and birthday screenings to corporate meetings, trainings, and community programs that benefit from auditorium-style seating and a big screen. Our theater and lobby spaces offer a comfortable, engaging way to bring people together.

Planning something beyond the screen? For receptions, celebrations, parties, and full-scale events, we invite you to explore The Crescent Room, our dedicated event venue designed for gatherings of all kinds.

Birthday Bundle

$12/person

Celebrate your birthday in style at the Sun! Enjoy reserved seats in an area of your choice, as well as a snack caddie with your favorite drink, popcorn and candy ready and waiting. This is perfect for kids and adults alike for a simplified birthday party and night out.

Includes: 

--Reserved general admission seating (premium seats + $6/person)

--Birthday snack caddie (drink, popcorn and candy) set up ahead of arrival​

Private Party at the Movie - $100

The perfect way to upgrade your movie watching experience! Enjoy the scheduled movie in style during a private watch party in the Mezzanine. Perfect for birthday parties, work gatherings and all types of get togethers.

Price Includes:

  • 3 hours of facility use

  • Use of Mezzanine for 10 guests ($5 each additional)

  • All premium seating and side tables

  • 2 rectangle tables & linens

  • Arrival 45 minutes prior to movie start

Providing your own food for the party? For $25 bring in cake, cookies, charcuterie and more to enjoy with your group. 

*Outside beverages are NOT allowed in our venue*

Private Watch Party - $200

Imagine inviting up to 40 of your family and friends to a private screening of a favorite movie for an unforgettable experience! Now with Holdrege Sun Theater & Events Venue's Private Watch Party, you can! Perfect for celebrations with friends and family, group outings and social events!

Price Includes: 

  • Use of the Theater and Mezzanine

  • Opening of concessions (items paid for individually)

  • 45 minutes of set up and 30 minutes of tear down

  • 1 theater attendants

* Studio fees ($50-$350) are based on movie choice and are in addition to venue prices. All movies require a non-refundable studio fee that must be paid at time of booking.

* Holdrege Sun Theater & Events Venue can accommodate almost all movie request, however, due to studio rules we cannot book any Disney and FOX 21 Century movies.
